I just had to write and say thank you for setting up Emily’s Group all those years ago. It is such a fabulous resource. Over the years it has helped me and been much appreciated whether for builder recommendations, help for elderly parents or medical issues. As much as anything it’s great for people to feel they are not the only ones going through difficult times and fellow members give brilliant suggestions for sources of support or help.

To the member who wrote to thank fellow members for their help and advice regarding the teenage years. Your letter made me, not for the first time, marvel at the wonder that is Emily’s Group and the service Emily herself provides in facilitating this connection between women, enabling us all to find help, support, advice or visibility as needed.

I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve been thinking about an issue I need a lead with and something serendipitously pops into my inbox from emilysgroup.

So, thank you each and every one of you and a huge thank you to Emily for tirelessly facilitating this potent exchange as you do.

I have just signed up to the new website. I wouldn’t miss this membership for the world. It has been an invaluable source of information, advice and recommendations.

As a full-time working mother I miss all information swapping coffee mornings – but I fret not! – I know I can ask Emily’s Group to help me find anything. It is a lifeline to other wise women - who take the time to offer advice, and who I in turn can help.

I’ve been a member of the group since it’s launch in 2006 and have benefited so much being part of it all. Apart from the fabulous name, I’ve found nannies, builders, therapists and also shared wonderful people in my life who have gone on to benefit other members of the group.

Hi Emily, I just wanted to write to thank you for the recommendations you sent over. Emily’s Group is an amazing resource and has helped me out in several tricky situations. What makes it different is that it is curated, and that the group is also large enough to allow for diversity of thought and different experiences. Opinions are sought and seem to be genuinely valued. What is also helpful is the option to post anonymously, so that highly personal or potentially embarrassing dilemmas can be raised and resolved discreetly.

Emilysgroup has been such a fantastic resource over the years. I honestly don't know where I'd be without it. Emily and her members are so helpful with any requests, from finding children's party entertainers to recommending menopause experts. It's always reassuring to know there are people happy to share their life experiences and trusted contacts and to be part of this great community. Many a chat with friends and family has ended with 'I'll ask Emily's Group...' And it's never failed.

Being a part of Emily’s Group has been wonderful. I have managed to let my flat through it several times and currently to a lovely lady who is still there 3 years later. I have also found a cleaning lady, got a free pool table for our children, bought various things and generally had lots of positive experiences through this wonderful network.
